You might have seen the amazing Storm Calysta, a Chicago-born musician, appear all over our website and rock our lookbook with her unique retro vibes. We had a lot of fun kicking back with her during the interview, as she took us on a time warp and landed us in a 60’s inspired era with her style. With a refreshing personality and awesome talent to boot, Storm is taking over the world with her guitar one heart at a time.
How would you describe your music?
The music I'm working on has a 60’s/70’s vibe mixed with a little pop.
Who and what are you inspired by?
I’m really inspired by the 60’s & 70’s music & fashion, I look up to people such as Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Cher, Stevie Nicks, Jimi Hendrix & many others.
Tell me about your average day of life. What is it like?
When I'm not performing or shooting, I like to spend a lot of time alone. Usually I'm lounging around listening to old records, record shopping or wandering around local vintage stores.
What is the best concert that you’ve ever been to?
The best concert I've ever attended was Lollapalooza, I met a few members of Black Sabbath that day without even realizing it at first.
What is your favorite daily wear attire?
Always have to have a sweet pair of bell bottom, a flowy blouse & heels.

Hunky Dory, David Bowie
Magical Mystery Tour, The Beatles
Days of Future Passed, The Moody Blues
If you can have a superpower what would it be and why?
Teleportation, I could go anywhere for free & an instant. That'd be a dream come true, since I travel a lot.
Where would you go in a time travel machine? Would you stay?
The 60’s, the music & art was so alive & free. I'd definitely stay there, I'm an old soul.
